Development Application Estimates

Development Application Summary Forms and Section 94 Contributions

Estimating for Development Appliations

We are aware that numerous councils within NSW and across Australia have introduced a policy requiring an Industry qualified and recognised Quantity Surveyor to be involved in cost planning for the submission of a Development Application or Development Permit.
We at MCG Quantity Surveyors have extensive experience providing numerous construction cost estimates and have provided cost advice to councils & developers for multiple Development Application Submissions.

We are able to complete the relevant council summary forms as well as providing preliminary cost plan outlining the project budget or project feasibility for a proposed development.
This report will usually be based on cost allocations per square metre of the Gross Floor Area (GFA) of the development. This is largely due to the preliminary nature of the design and documentation at this point.
The Preliminary Cost Plan will establish a working budget for the project elements (substructure, columns, external walls, internal walls, floor finishes, etc, etc) and form a valuable assessment tool in the design decision-making process. This type of reporting process can be undertaken on multiple options in order to establish the most feasible option for the client.

We at MCG Quantity Surveyors are acutely aware of the demanding and competitive nature of the construction industry and as such, the MCG Quantity Surveyors team will ensure that reporting
turn around times are consistently met, and clients are kept up to date with the status of projects and reports.
